The company was registered in August 2003. Since its establishment, the main areas of activity have been material and technical supply, supply of shift camps, and supply of fuel and lubricants (bunkering of sea vessels).

Currently, the company is among the authorized suppliers of such large operators and shipbuilders as AGIP KCO, NCOC, TengizChevrOil, ErSai Caspian Contractor, Keppel Kazakhstan, Kazakhstan Caspian Offshore Industries.
During its activity, Special Oil Projects took part as a supplier in projects such as the Asian Gas Pipeline (Zhambyl region, 2009), Gas Treatment Complex (Chinarevo settlement, WKO), Hook up & commission (Ersai, Kuryk settlement, Mangistau region, 2011-2013), Karabatan (Karabatan settlement, Atyrau region, 2004-present), Construction of the North Caspian Pipeline (Kashagan field, 2004-present).
